The Golf Professional

Andrew Witherup is the professional for both Formby Ladies and Formby Golf Clubs, joining in May 2008. He has been a fully qualified PGA professional for more than thirteen years, initially at Aldersey Green before moving to West Derby in 1997 and from there to Formby.

Andrew has extensive coaching experience and enjoys the challenge of both beginners and experienced players. Individual or a course of lessons are available.

Andrew can offer a custom fitting session to advise on the best selection of clubs for any individual using the vector launch monitor. This measures swing speed, spin rate and launch angle of the ball which gives statistics to show the customer how much extra yardage can be gained from the best equipment for them.

Andrew is ably assisted by Mathew Duncalf.

Mathew Duncalf worked with Andrew at West Derby and is currently in his third year of PGA training.

The Pro's Shop has a wide range of ladies clothing, stocking brands such as Abacus, Galvin Green, Daily, Nike and Green Lamb.
